About AIT
SAITM Faculty of Engineering is affiliated to the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Thailand and offer BSc degree programs with the first 2 years of the course conducted in Sri Lanka at SAITM and the final 2 years including the industry training conducted in Thailand at AIT.
AIT, established in 1959 under UN charter is a foremost postgraduate teaching and research university, has maintained highest international standards, turning out world class engineers and academics over a period of more than 50 years. To cater to the worldwide high demand for AIT graduates the university has ventured into undergraduate programs and SAITM has been selected as the partner campus representing the South Asian region to conduct the first phase of AIT degree programs since 2009.

- Dual degree opportunities and student exchange programs
AIT undergraduates are offered the opportunity of studying in reputed universities in South Korea or Finland for one or more semesters covering parallel modules with transferrable credits to gain additional international exposure.
Students are also offered dual degree opportunities in collaboration with prestigious universities in Europe and Asia-Pacific region.

All AIT students will be allocated with fully furnished individual lodging complete with attached bathroom and with Wi-Fi facilities at a reasonable fee. Choice of A/C or non A/C accommodation is available with facilities provided for outdoor activities.
