First time ever – A Bachelors Degree in Accounting & Finance from the Buckinghamshire New University

The subject of Finance has been elevated to a fully-Pledged degree program in recognition of the growing demand for Finance specialists, created by the unprecedented growth in financial markets and institutions in Sri Lanka over the past decade.

Faculty of Management and Finance of the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) is affiliated with the Buckinghamshire new university in U.K. The Faculty, which offers three business management programs at bachelors degree level has now opened the fourth specialization in Accounting and Finance. The three year duration program will consist of interactive learning and an internship program with reputed local and multinational companies in Sri Lanka as partners. Another distinctive feature of this program is that, those who possess part qualifications in ICASL, CIMA, and ACCA can gain direct entry to the final year of the program.

The objective in launching this program is to provide training needs of the many aspiring professionals in the financial sector and become the pioneer in offering a bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance. The Faculty seeks to contribute to the financial market development in Sri Lanka through the dissemination of finance related knowledge and skills. The program aims to train and educate corporate sector managers involved in the finance sector.

This course is ideal for those who aspire to gain a degree from a reputed British University and developing knowledge and skills in financial management.
