Vacancies - Faculty of Engineering

Vacancies are available at the Faculty of Engineering of South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM), Sri Lanka's pioneering multi faculty non-state sector university campus, offering BSc Eng (Hons) degrees in affiliation with the prestigious Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand.

The Faculty of Engineering of SAITM located in a picturesque setting with all the modern amenities in Malabe maintains highest standards in engineering education in keeping with the world class high profile status sustained by AIT offering top end degree programmes for Sri Lankan students as well as for the students of the South Asian Region. The academics chosen will benefit from high career growth potential and ample opportunities for research work. The following positions are open with immediate effect:

Senior Lecturer/Lecturer – 2 positions

The successful candidate should have a PhD/MSc degree from a recognized university in Sri Lanka or abroad specializing in Electronic/Electrical/Telecommunication Engineering. Experience as an academic is preferred but not essential. The position is full time permanent or on contract. Those who are actively into research and/or reading for PhD are encouraged.

Research Assistant – 2 positions

The successful candidate should have a BSc (Hons) degree from a recognized university in Sri Lanka or abroad specializing in Civil/Electronic/Electrical/Telecommunication Engineering. The position is full time permanent or on contract. Those who are reading for MSc are encouraged.

Secretary

The successful candidate should be smart and energetic and will be coordinating with the academic and non-academic staff as well as the students in intra and inter faculty documentation.

Laboratory Technician

The successful candidate should be a hard working and enthusiastic individual and will be responsible for the smooth functioning of Engineering laboratories and assisting the academic staff in related research activities.

All the above positions carry above average remuneration packages and are negotiable.
