The Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy (NNSMA) of Russian Federation has confirmed its affiliation to the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM).
This was announced at a press conference held at SAITM on 31 st January 2012 where the head of International relations of NNSMA, Prof. Vladimir Zagainov noted that Russia is willing to help Sri Lanka to create high quality educational establishments.
Russian Academy Pleased with SAITM’s Progress
The Russian Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy which is affiliated with the private medical college in Malabe said yesterday that they were pleased with the progress made by the institution.

Considering the number of people per universities in other countries, Sri Lanka needs to establish a minimum of new 40 universities. SAITM Engineering undergraduates take wing to AIT
Come August 31, 2011, the lives of 60 bright young Engineering students of SAITM will change forever. After successfully completing the first stage of their degree programmes in various disciplines ranging from Civil and Infrastructure Engineering to Mechatronics Engineering, they will take wing to Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand for the final stage of the BSc. Eng.(Hons) degree spanning two years.
The External Verifier from Edexcel , UK Gives an Excellent feedback to the Faculty of Management and Finance.
The Edexcel External verifier visit which was held on 9th August 2011 was a very successful visit. The External verifier Ms. Nicola Mortimer- Stokes, who is also the European representative of the Internal Quality Assurance Advisory committee, awarded an “A” grading for the consecutive second time and gave an excellent feedback to the faculty of Management and Finance.

SAITM keeps going strong with Fourth Intake !

SAITM Opens up Opportunities for Jaffna Students
The South Asian Institute of Technology and Management (SAITM) Participated in Jaffna Education Fair on 18th & 19th September 2010 at Jaffna Central College. The objective of participating in the event was to build awareness about SAITM in the Northern Province as well as to provide counseling/career guidance for students who are seeking for higher education options. Event was a success and SAITM expect a considerable number of students from North to join its October and February intakes, for Medicine, Engineering, Management and Multimedia degrees.
External verifier visits SAITM ICT and Media Faculty
As part of quality assurance procedure, Ms. Stella Power, the External Verifier from Edexcel UK, visited SAITM ICT and Media Faculty last month. After going through the course material, facilities and student assignments in detail, this is what she said:
